Rights Respecting Schools
The Rights Respecting Schools Award is a Unicef UK programme that aims to put children’s rights at the heart of schools in the UK. Unicef, with thousands of schools across the country embed children’s rights in their ethos and culture to improve well-being and develop every child’s talents and abilities to their full potential.
PENWORTHAM HAS A SILVER RIGHTS RESPECTING SCHOOLS AWARD
Penwortham has now achieved the Silver Rights Respecting Schools Award. This is a brilliant achievement for Penwortham. We are proud to have children’s rights shining out across our community from our school. Well done to everyone, especially the hard working steering group committee – Daniel, Maggie, Tina, Kitty, Antonia, Max and Kayleigh. Thank you also to the parents and governors who have supported us on our journey.
We are now working towards gaining the GOLD award, the highest award you can achieve. Watch out for more updates and activities in the Globe from the new Year 4 steering committee (Rio, Lisa, Bobby, Nuala, Grace, Mason and Robin).
